Angio Drapes and Gowns

SurgiGUARD

Surgiguard Drape and Gown

Our success in cardiology is not just restricted to pack development, as we have always maintained a high standard in the drapes & gowns we have offered both as standalone products and those included in  our packs.

This commitment became even clearer with the introduction in 2006 of our SurgiGUARD drape range.

Surgiguard A is a range of specialist angiography drapes
offering enhanced absorbency for improved protection

These femoral angiography drapes vary in length from
300 cm to 360 cm with a highly absorbent area and varying
window combinations to match clinical needs from diagnostic
angiography to advanced Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI).

Key attributes of the drapes include:

  • An SMMS (Spunbonded Polypropylene, Meltblown, Meltblown, Spunbond Polypropylene) base material which is a fluid repellent fabric consisting of 4 layers of none woven material. The layers are bonded so the material appears single ply; this bonding gives the material extra strength and repellency therefore reducing the risk of bacteria entering the wound site
  • A base material that is drapeable and breathable allowing increased patient comfort
  • A high hydrostatic head on the base material ensures that the incidence of strike through is significantly reduced
  • A highly absorbent reinforced panel which is significantly larger than that available elsewhere in the market place giving a reduced risk of fluid pooling
  • An absorbent panel that is designed of a darker colour to reduce glare and increase visualisation of devices used during procedure
  • A hypoallergenic adhesive that conforms to ISO 10993
  • A low linting material that minimises the risk of wound contamination
  • A wide range of drape combinations to meet varying clinical needs
  • A drape range that is fully EN 13795 compliant
